In the automotive industry, lightweighting refers to building vehicles that are less heavy. In doing so, they achieve better fuel efficiency and handling. In creating lighter equipment, we’re helping to reduce overall vehicle weight.

At SONUS, we’ve been practicing lightweighting with a number of our products by switching from aluminum to plastic. We’ve now converted our front pulley covers, oil pans and belt covers.
